Gala Opening Night - Friday Sept. 10, 2004
OH! WHAT A NIGHT!!

A letter from Tom Brophey......

"The opening Gala at Theatre Windsor is over and it was a resounding success. Thank you to all of you who attended.

The present show "Exit the Body" played to large audiences on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. I usually stand at the exit and ask people how they have enjoyed the show -- the response has been astounding. Firstly they are "blown away" by our new theatre. To my mind it is the classiest theatre in the city. The tributes to the show are just as flattering with comments of "that was a hilarious show" or "a very funny experience". We still have the intimate table seating that most of you enjoyed in the past.

I hope you will all come out to our remaining shows next Thursday Friday and Saturday nights. If you would like to make reservations just call 944-1968. If you would like to pick up your tickets at the box office, to assure seating up front, it is open daily from Noon to 2 PM and 6 to 8 PM. The new theatre is at Market Square, Walker and Ottawa Streets, up the escalator and turn to the left.

Theatre Windsor is also having a Pasta Dinner Fundraiser on September the 22nd between the hours of 6 to 8PM at the Fogolar Furlan Club prices Adults $12.00, ages 4 - 12 $8.00 and children under 4 free. We hope to raise money to cover the cost of our new theatre. If you wish to order tickets for that event 944-1968

We will be announcing the winners of our annual One Act Play Festival at this time. The plays will be produced by the theatre in January of next year.

We are all excited at Theatre Windsor over our new home and hope you will share the enjoyment with us.

...and the reviews are in

"Just wanted to say we had a great time at the gala last night and were glad I was well enough to attend .  The performance was a scream.  The company really out did itself with the perks for the opening night, the desserts during the afterglow were fabulous!   Please add us to your mailing list for the theatre.  Thanks."    Darlene Humeniuk and Dave Cameron

"Whoever organised the whole evening did a wonderful job, from the moment we arrived... to the moment we left the steps from the centre... we encountered many surprises and left with happy memories of a good time and new friends.  Thanks to all the volunteers, participants and friendly people."    Dianne

"Very often when you look forward to something, the anticipation far exceeds the outcome.
Not so with the Gala Opening!  It was absolutely great and, while I knew you and the crew would do a really good job, I never imagined it would be so very exceptional.
I'm really looking forward to the upcoming performances."     Bev
