Think back to your days in public school.  (For some of us, it’s not that far back.)  I’m sure you remember those kids, who were the toughest and roughest….the bullies. They wore dirty clothes, cursed, smoked cigarettes and never brought a lunch.

Well…that’s the Herdmans.  A group of 6 siblings who can bring even the bravest to their knees.

Through happenstance, the Herdmans discover that at Sunday School they could eat all the sweets they want.  So of course the motley crew shows up.  They arrive, however, on the very day that Grace Bradley is taking over the Christmas Pageant for the very first time.  She’s not sure about what to do. But under the eagle eye of Mrs. Armstrong, Grace is being told exactly what to do.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is a rollercoaster ride for all ages.  Everyone can enjoy the chaos the Herdmans bring and what happens is full of pandemonium, laughter and…a little bit of cigar smoke.

But what the Herdmans give to us in the end is a gift:  a lesson about accepting differences; about allowing people to be who they are.   And, most importantly, for kids and adults alike, a reminder, that family stick together….no matter what.
